2015: Icons in the New Year

Greetings and Happy New Year! My blog (particularly the “Re-Animated” column) has languished over the past few months as I’ve been quite busy with various work projects, some of which I can’t yet talk about, but I can tell you more of what’s available and in the works for Icons Superpowered Roleplaying this year!

Response to the Assembled Edition of the game has been great, including having it covered on io9 and showing up on a Top 21 list for 2014. The glossy, hardcover print edition of the book did well at the Green Ronin Publishing booth at GenCon 2014. Ad Infinitum also signed agreements in 2014 for Icons to be translated and published in Spanish and Portuguese.

New Year, New Game

There’s never been a better time to check out the new Assembled Edition, since Ad Infinitum is participating in the “New Year, New Game” promotion, making both The Assembled Edition and Great Power available at a discount! Additionally, I’ve added a form-fillable character sheet and an intro four-page adventure called “Grudge Match” to the Assembled Edition download package for free. The character sheet will also be bundled with the free Hero Creation Quick-Sheet for Icons, and both will have six hero sketch silhouettes from artist Dan Houser.

Icons from A to Z

Also premiering this year is the new Icons A to Z series, a twice-monthly (every two weeks) series of 26 six-page “mini sourcebooks” covering a range of different topics. You can get them individually or subscribe to the whole series at a reduced price and get them all over the course of the year. When 2015 comes to a close, you’ll have 156 pages of new Icons material for your games!

The premier issue, A is for Aliens, is available for free as a sample of the series to come. Check it out and then look for B is for BattlesC is for Cosmic, and other entries in the series, or subscribe and get each new entry as it is released and added to the subscription product online.

…And That’s Not All!

I’m just getting started on Icons projects for 2015. Also coming this year we have the pulse-pounding conclusion to Dan Houser’s Rise of the Phalanx series of adventures, Reign of Chaos, along with another all-new adventure from Dan. Other Icons products and ideas are in the works, including plans for more villains to bedevil your heroes and threaten Our Fair City. Plus, of course, we look forward to new releases for third-party Icons publishers, including the stalwart Fainting Goat Games. Stay tuned to the blog for the latest news and information as things progress!

Thanks to all the players and supporters of Icons and here’s to a super 2015!
